High Yield Cannabis Seeds

High yield seeds are for growers who want a bigger harvest from their plants. The range includes strains with different THC levels, flowering times and plant sizes, so you don't have to choose on yield alone. We've been selling cannabis seeds for more than 25 years, and you can compare high-yield strains from leading breeders alongside our own lower-priced 420 Seeds genetics.

What Are High Yield Seeds?

High yield seeds are cannabis seeds from strains bred to produce larger harvests.

Indoor yield is normally shown in grams per square meter, such as 500–600g/m². This makes it easier to compare strains grown in a similar amount of space. Outdoor yield may be shown as grams per plant instead.

These figures show what a strain can produce under good conditions. They are not a promise. The final harvest will also depend on things such as light, space, plant health and how well the plants are cared for.

High yield is not a separate type of cannabis seed. A high-yielding strain may be feminized or regular, and it may flower in response to the light cycle or automatically with age. Indica, sativa and hybrid genetics can all produce large harvests.

We currently have more than 250 high yield strains to compare, so you aren't limited to one breeder or one type of seed. The range includes photoperiod strains as well as high yield autoflower seeds, making it easier to find something that fits the way you want to grow.

Compare High Yield Seeds From Leading Cannabis Breeders

We stock high yield seeds from a wide mix of breeders, so you can compare more than one brand.

Our current range includes more than 50 strains from Barney's Farm, more than 30 from Green House Seed Company, plus plenty of choices from Dutch Passion, MSNL Seeds, Bomb Seeds and Fast Buds. We also have around 30 high-yield strains from our own 420 Seedbank range.

You can see the differences when you compare individual strains.

THC Bomb Feminized from Bomb Seeds is rated at more than 600g/m² with THC up to 25%. Critical Kush from Barney's Farm is rated at 550–650g/m² with THC up to 26%. If you want an autoflower instead, Gorilla Cookies Auto from Fast Buds is another strain rated at 550–650g/m².

Our own genetics give you a lower-priced choice too. Big Bud Feminized by 420 Seeds is rated at 500–600g/m², while Bruce Banner #3 Feminized has the same listed yield range with THC up to 30%.

If two strains look very similar, check who bred them.

The strain name tells you what you're looking at. The breeder tells you whose version of those genetics you're buying.

How We Choose the High Yield Seeds We Sell

We don't assume the strain with the biggest yield figure is going to be the best choice for everyone.

We look at who bred it first, then compare its yield, THC, flowering time, height, lineage and price.

A strain rated above 600g/m² might catch your eye, but another could suit you better because it finishes sooner, stays shorter or has the THC level you want.

Price matters too. Some customers want genetics from a particular breeder, while others would rather keep the seed cost down. That's one reason we stock our own 420 Seeds genetics alongside breeder packs.

How to Choose the Right High Yield Seeds

With more than 250 strains on this page, we'd start with the things that matter most to you rather than simply picking the largest yield figure.

Want the Biggest Harvests?

Start with the listed yield.

A large part of our range sits in the 500–600g/m² bracket, but we also stock strains rated at 550–650g/m² and above 600g/m².

Once you've found the biggest producers, check their flowering time and height.

For example, THC Bomb is rated above 600g/m² with a listed flowering time of 10–12 weeks. Critical Kush is rated at 550–650g/m² and 8–10 weeks.

Both are listed as high-yielding options, but their yield ranges overlap. Critical Kush has the shorter listed flowering time. Compare the full product details rather than treating overlapping yield figures as a precise ranking.

Want High THC as Well?

Find the yield level you're happy with, then compare THC.

Some growers want as much bud as possible. Others want a mix of high yield and high THC.

If both matter to you, compare the strains here with our high THC cannabis seeds.

Want Something Faster?

Check the flowering time.

Our high yield strains cover flowering times from 6–8 weeks through to 12–14 weeks, so there can be a big difference between them.

If you'd rather have a plant that starts flowering by itself instead of changing the light cycle, take a look at our high yield autoflower seeds.

Growing Indoors?

Check yield per square meter and plant height.

A tall plant can be difficult to manage if you don't have much headroom, even if the yield figure looks excellent.

You can filter our high yield seeds by short, medium, tall and very tall plants, which makes it easier to find something that fits your available space.

Growing Outdoors?

Check flowering time, plant size and whether the strain suits your climate.

A strain might be capable of a huge outdoor harvest but still be a poor choice if it finishes too late for the weather where you live.

If you're buying specifically for an outdoor grow, our outdoor cannabis seeds are another good place to compare strains.

Short on Space?

Look at the shorter plants in the range.

A bigger plant does not always mean a better choice, especially indoors. We have plenty of high-yield strains in the short and medium height groups.

If you also prefer indica-leaning genetics, take a look at our indica seeds.

Prefer Sativa Genetics?

You can find high-yielding sativa strains too.

If that's what you prefer, compare the yield figures in our sativa seeds range.

We wouldn't choose between indica and sativa based on yield alone. The individual strain matters much more.

Working to a Budget?

Compare the breeder and pack price.

We stock premium breeder genetics alongside our own lower-priced 420 Seeds strains, so there are choices at different price points.

You can then compare yield, THC and flowering time to see what you're getting for your money.

High Yield Photoperiod Seeds vs High Yield Autoflower Seeds

Both can produce large harvests, but they work differently.

If you want more control over when flowering starts, we'd look at photoperiod seeds.

If you want automatic flowering, look at our high yield autoflowers.

High Yield Photoperiod Seeds High Yield Autoflower Seeds
Flowering starts After the light cycle changes Automatically as the plant gets older
Control over vegetative time You decide when flowering starts indoors Flowering starts without a light-cycle change
Growing time Can be kept in vegetative growth for longer Less time before flowering begins
Plant size More control over final size indoors Size is linked more closely to its shorter life cycle
Best for Growers who want more control over plant development Growers who want automatic flowering
Yield Plenty of high-yield choices Plenty of high-yield choices

What Can You Do to Get More From a High Yield Strain?

The genetics give the plant the ability to produce a bigger harvest, but the growing conditions still matter.

Light, space, nutrition and plant health can all affect how much you eventually harvest.

We won't go into all of that here because this page is meant to help you choose seeds. Our guide on how to increase cannabis yields covers lighting, containers, growing media, training and other ways to improve harvest size.

Why Buy High Yield Seeds From 420 Seeds?

We've been selling cannabis seeds since 1999. During that time, we've seen breeders produce strains with much bigger yields while also giving growers more choice over THC, flowering time and seed type.

Across the site, we stock more than 1,500 strains from over 40 breeders, with more than 250 strains in our high yield range alone.

We batch-test our seed stock. Branded seeds come in their original breeder packaging. Eligible seeds are covered by our Germination Guarantee, and qualifying orders receive free seeds.

Many of the breeders we stock can also be sent to U.S. customers from our New York stock with tracked delivery.

We run breeder promotions throughout the year too, and our own lower-priced genetics give you another way to keep the cost down.

High Yield Seeds FAQs

Are the listed yields guaranteed?

No. Yield figures describe what a strain may produce under good conditions. Light, space, plant health and care all affect the final harvest.

Why do some listed yield ranges overlap?

Breeders give estimated ranges, not exact harvest rankings. Two strains can have overlapping figures and still differ in flowering time, height, THC and other traits that matter when choosing seeds.

Can you tell if a cannabis seed is high yielding by looking at it?

No. The size, color or markings on a seed cannot tell you how much the mature plant will produce. Check the strain, breeder and listed yield instead.
